Tigard Retreat w/Deck, 15 Mins From Portland!

Uniquely cozy with all the amenities of home but in a cottage up on Cooper Mt. Where you are surrounded by trees , feel the breezes, sunrise and sunset in the same day, and sometimes the wonderful wildlife around us. Birds in the sky , rabbits and sometimes deer, and yes our two friendly goats. Oh yes and  the expansive  midnight sky with the bright stars twinkling above or the big round moon shining  down on you as you sit on the patio in the evening enjoying the night air.

The Cottage is on about 2.25 acres on Cooper Mt in southwestern Beaverton. About 1/2 acre is available for guests, open areas , mostly flat,  for guests to play (but in some areas it may be uneven) , and fenced. We have 2 Goats that stay on the property and they live in the rest of the fenced property. In the  Cottage the  kitchen , living room , and bathroom have an open concept . All the rooms are on the same floor the only step is a 5 inch rise into the shower, and a 4 inch step down on to the patio out front. Driveway and available parking are on pavement.

Owner may be over once per day , depending on the season, to feed the mini Goats that live on the property.

Serenity View Retreat

My Tiny Cabin is located on 2.3 forested acres in a rural setting close to Portland and wine country.  My home is located on the same property but trees and space between the two provide privacy. 

A ladder leads you to the upstairs loft with a queen bed and a skylight for a view of the treetops.  A futon that folds into a comfortable full sized bed is located downstairs. The kitchenette provides a microwave, small refrigerator and coffee.  Step out to the deck to cook on the propane grill.

The cabin is a modified A-frame with a rustic feel and a generous use of wood throughout.  While it does provide a rustic feel, I have furnished it to provide a comfortable, relaxing experience.   The cabin has been described as a magical retreat with the experience of staying in a tree house.  An outdoor propane fire pit table is available for your use as well.

The Tiny Cabin and the outdoor space around it is set aside for the exclusive use of the guests.  A parking spot is available by the cabin.

My goal is to provide you with privacy during your stay.  However, I can be available if you need anything.  You may sometimes see me out on my patio; if so, feel free to stop by to meet me.

The Tiny Cabin is located in a rural setting but significant development is taking place nearby.  You are close to restaurants and stores but surrounded by trees in a forest setting.

The area is served by Lyft and Uber.  Public transportation is not provided within walking distance but is available in the Beaverton area.

I do have adult children who live at my house so you may see them around as well along with their Boston Terrier Auggie.

Cooper Mountain Tiny Cabin

This incredible home offers a unique blend of a quiet wooded neighborhood feel while being just a handful of minutes from Washington Square to the East, downtown Beaverton to the North, and Sherwood to the south. There are also hundreds of amazing wineries and vineyards 30-45 minutes to the southwest.

The entire home sits on a single level and is great for families or individuals where stairs can be a challenge. In addition the open floor plan allows for the entire family to enjoy time together whether it be inside watching TV, playing games, or outside on the deck.  The spacious deck is equipped with a gas BBQ and a wooded private feel for you to you enjoy.  The home has amazing internet wifi with 100/100 speed on a 5G network!!


The three bedrooms are all on the single main level. One has two twins. The second is equipped with a full and the master suite has a king as well as a pull out couch for additional room if needed. In the living and family rooms you will find couches for additional sleeping possibilities if you prefer.


You will find ample shopping and grocery options. The home and neighborhood is surrounded by parks and trails. Madrona Heights, Morrison woods, and Summercrest Parks are just a few of the closest ones. About a mile away is Cooper Mountain Nature Park which sits right next to Cooper Mountain Vineyards. 


This is a truly special home to enjoy so many aspects of the greater Portland region and the Pacific Northwest. 


We truly want you to enjoy your time and make some wonderful memories with your group. That being said, this is not a party or gathering house for groups that can't control their noise levels. We have relationships with all of our neighbors who have our direct contact information. Quiet time is 10:00 pm to 8:00 am. Please stay indoors during this time, keep the windows and doors closed and keep the volume to an enjoyable but reasonable level. If it is loud enough to be heard outside in these conditions, it is too loud for you to remain our guest. This property includes a noise alert monitoring system in order to ensure that neighborhood noise levels are respected. Again, please realize we want every group to enjoy their time, laugh, have fun and make memories. These devices are only to ensure noise levels don't reach a threshold that bothers our neighbors.  Also, please note there is no electronic video surveillance monitoring pools or spas, or on the interior of the house.

Spacious one level 4 bedrooms home in a quiet neighborhood.  Conveniently close to Nike World Headquarters, downtown Beaverton, restaurants and family-friendly activities. 90 minutes to the beach. Around 25 minutes to Portland depending on traffic.

This is a spacious single-level house with four bedrooms, two full baths, two living and dining spaces. 

The internet speed is one gigabit, symmetrical, download and upload speeds are the same with WIFI mesh repeater system in place.  Unlimited Netflix, national news channels, weather, and PBS on the high-definition TV. 

You also have access to a covered deck, lower deck, and small private back yard.

Guests have access to the whole house, except the garage and 2 locked closets. 

There are three large off-street parking spaces in the driveway as well as street parking. 

Please note that we do have a rigorous "No street shoes in the house" policy to keep the house and floors clean. 

The house is family friendly but not necessarily child-proofed.  If you are traveling with children, please specify ages and number.

We're available by text, email, phone should you require any assistance. We live close-by and would be happy to stop in to meet you or to help with anything you may need.

The house is located in a quiet residential neighborhood with long time residents. It's minutes away from downtown Beaverton, Nike Headquarters, Progress Ridge Townsquare(Little Big Burger, New Seasons Market, AMC Dine-In, La Provence Boulangerie, Big Al's Bowling) and about 15 minutes from Washington Square.

There are plentiful shopping and grocery options close by. The home is within walking distance of Murrayhill Powerline Park. Cooper Mountain Vineyards is about 4 miles away.

It's strongly recommended to have your own car since we're in the suburbs. Nearest bus stop is 3/4 mile.

We have exterior cameras to monitor the outside of our house. Any attempt at disabling or obscuring the cameras is prohibited and may, at the owner's discretion, result in the guest being evicted without refund of  outstanding nights' rents. 

Please note there is NO landline phone in the house. Be advised to use your cell phone in the event of an emergency. There is unlimited high-speed WiFi available. 

Garbage day is Tuesday morning. Please have trash in garbage bin curbside Monday night along with recyclables.  Recyclables (paper, plastic and aluminum cans) go into the gray/tan container and glass into the small red bin. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Lawn maintenance is in the morning on Thursdays.
