The "Sands" is a “drive on” sandy intercostal "beach" where frequent shark teeth are found. On your way stop and get a cupcake or hot drink in an old train and take a stroll around the gorgeous “Cypress Wetlands”, a pond & boardwalk where frequent alligator sightings occur and a popular bird watching spot.

This quaint small town offers many places for golf cart & bike rentals which is the only means of transportation you need to get to most places from the house.  

Once here you can walk anywhere. The beautiful one mile walk to downtown waterfront with access to swinging benches or swings that overlook the water hidden throughout. There are dozens of restaurants and pubs within a 1 mile radius, and beautiful places to enjoy all around.

Publix by “bike” the closest grocery store 1/2 mile away on the peaceful Spanish Moss trail. Food lion is the closest by car. Walmart & TJ max are about 10 min away.

Pets occasionally accepted upon approval, accompanied by a photo and with a $300 pet fee for one pet, $50 additional for each pet. Dogs that are heavy shedders or jump on furniture never accepted and will be charged an additional $50 fee.

Do not use spray nozzle in sink. It does not work and will momentarily turn off faucet water.

When planning a visit to the River Street/Downtown area, we recommend utilizing ridesharing services for convenient transportation. While there are parking garages available downtown, it's important to note that street parking is also an option, but it requires payment through metered parking. Please keep this in mind to ensure a hassle-free experience during your visit.

Great views of Jenkins creek and overlooks the 18th hole of the golf course. There is a back deck with seating where you can take in the views as well.

The master bedroom is downstairs and has a king size bedand ensuite bathroom. While the other bedrooms are located upstairs with a shared bath with a walk-in shower. One with a queen size bed, and an additional bedroom off the hallway with two twin beds. All TVs are equipped with Roku.

Dataw Island is located on the tidal waterway between Charleston and Hilton Head. It is 15 minutes from Beaufort and 15 minutes from Hunting Island State Park and Beach. Enjoy all Dataw has to offer while staying at this villa. Aside from the outdoor pool, community dock and (2) golf courses there is a fitness center, tennis courts, indoor Olympic size swimming pool and full service marina.

The community dock is nearby where you can enjoy crabbing, fishing or kayaking.

The Mossy Oaks area is nestled between Downtown Beaufort and Port Royal. Our home is located directly across from Southside Park. We are centrally located between Parris Island & MCAS Beaufort and Lady's Island. 

Pickleball courts are located within walking distance of our home and the Spanish Moss Trail is only 3 blocks away.

To make the most of your stay in our neighborhood, we highly recommend having a vehicle for convenient exploration. However, if you're feeling adventurous and prefer alternative modes of transportation, you'll be delighted to know that the Spanish Moss Trail is just a quarter mile away from our property. This scenic trail spans 14 miles, perfect for biking or taking leisurely walks while immersing yourself in nature's beauty.

If you prefer to stay closer to home, sidewalks are available, and South Park is conveniently located right across the street. It's a great spot for a leisurely stroll or enjoying some outdoor activities.

For our active guests, there's, even more, to enjoy nearby. Within a five-minute walk, you'll find pickleball and tennis courts, providing the perfect opportunity to engage in friendly competition or pick up a new sport.

As for parking, we have a driveway that can accommodate a maximum of three cars. Please note that parking is only available in our driveway and we kindly request that you do not park on the street.

In these crazy times, it's comforting to know that you will be staying in a completely private, sanitary and safe private home, rather than a public hotel with public shared spaces.

Located in the beautiful 100 Pines/Hermitage area of Beaufort, SC, our Bungalow is only blocks from the Spanish Moss biking trail, a  three minute drive or ten minute bike ride to Historic Downtown, or a ten minute drive to the beach. We are also only a ten minute drive to the Parris Island MCRD Main Gate if you are staying to visit with your Marine or attend a graduation. 

Just walking down our neighborhood streets, lined with live oaks covered in Spanish moss, transports you to a totally different world, where folks are friendly, and things are a little slower and more relaxed.

Do you have a boat? Bring it! The Beaufort Boat ramp is less than 5 minutes away, and our circular driveway makes it easy for you to bring and store your boat safely on the property during your visit.

Downtown Beaufort is a very bike and dog-friendly neighborhood, and is also only a little more than a mile walk or bike ride from the Bungalow.

Uber and Lyft are both available in the area if needed.

Also, there is ample off-street metered parking by the Beaufort Waterfront, right by the Marina and Horse Drawn Buggy depot. You do need to pay for parking in the Downtown Waterfront area between 11am and 7pm, we suggest you get the ParkMobile app. It's much easier than coins.

We are a dog-friendly home. 
Our Bungalow, and pretty much all of Beaufort for that matter, is very dog-friendly, and we can provide a medium or large kennel, as well as dog bowls and treats.
But we do require a few things when keeping your furbaby with us. 
Regarding our pet policy - 
First, please do not assume that the fenced in yard will contain your dog... Check it thoroughly to make sure everything is closed and secure, and we prefer you monitor your dog while out there. Also, please have it go to the rear of the back yard for walks, to protect the grass.
Second, dogs are to be kenneled when unattended. Please use the kennel when you aren't home.
Finally, in order to protect the furniture and beds, please do not allow your dog to jump up on any furniture. Housekeeping may charge up to an additional $50 to clean up excessive dog hair or stains on furniture.
